Lakers' Fisher: Big salary hit not likely

If NBA owners ask players to give back an inordinate amount of money in collective bargaining talks, those talks at All-Star Weekend probably won't last long. That was the implication from union president Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Lakers in the wake of a report on SI.com that owners will seek to cut the players' share of revenues from 57 to 45 percent.

Hornets say Paul out indefinitely

Hornets All-Star point guard Chris Paul is out indefinitely with a left knee injury. Hornets coach Jeff Bower said on Monday that an MRI revealed more damage to the knee than the initial diagnosis of a bruise. The coach refused, however, to confirm reports that Paul had a meniscus tear and would miss at least a month.

Blazers' Roy to miss four games with hamstring injury

Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy will miss four games because of a right hamstring injury, the team said Friday. Roy re-injured the hamstring late in the first half of Portland's 98-90 victory at Philadelphia on Wednesday night. He left the team for treatment in Seattle.
